Thank you so much for stopping by Running and Roasting!
My name is Kim and I always haven't been such a foodie.
Growing up I was a super picky eater and survived on peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly), milk, potatoes, fruit and cheese. Pretty exciting diet I know. So now I need to make up for lost time.
I am a proud Army wife to my husband Brian. We got married August 16, 2009 and it was the happiest day of my life.
I'm also an Air Force pharmacist, which makes getting us to live in the same place difficult. But we are both working in Colorado Springs and loving every minute.
Our little family also includes Latte the cat, who is full of personality and will make frequent appearances on this blog!
Brian and I love the outdoors and running. I think I love running more but he is usually game for weekend road races. Although, I'm looking for a new marathon partner because after the first one he said no more!
We also love to hike and ski and of course EAT!
Anyways, I think this enough for now but please feel free to leave some comments, I'd love to hear from you!
Kim, wondering if you are still blogging? I recently received a link to your 2013 blog about Pina. My grandmother would make over 100 loaves of Pina each year for her 6 children, their spouses and each of her 21 grandchildren. Now Each year many of her granddaughters and great-granddaughters gather to make her Pina for our own family and friends. We follow the exact recipe that you posted. My great grand parents came from Italy and settled in Medford MA. Unfortunately as grandchildren, we never had the chance to ask our Nana where this recipe came from. And in all the years searching, we never found anyone who heard of Pina. I would love the chance to talk to you further to see if Brian's family anymore history. Deb Dmperry17@gmail.com
